Video: Beth Phoenix Interview to WWE.com

In May, Beth Phoenix suffered a devastating ACL tear during aWWE Superstars match against Rosa Mendes. She subsequently dropped the Women’s Championship to Layla and sat on the sidelines for six months to recover. “The Glamazon” spoke to WWE.com regarding her road to recovery and revealed that she initially feared that she would not be able to return to the ring.

Beth Phoenix Interview

Beth Phoenix is interviewed in the latest issue of WWE Magazine and she discussed her difficult ACL injury earlier this year, the changing face of the WWE Divas, which former Diva she’d like to see return, and much more.
Regarding her ACL injury in May, she commented:
“The weird thing was, when I got hurt, I felt fine. I was walking around and running, and I shrugged it off thinking it was just a tweak. But then my doctor told me I tore my ACL and I’d be out for six months. All I could think was, “I just won the title! Taking six months off isn’t even a possibility right now!” I had the option to wrap my knee and risk tearing it completely or have surgery. But I was a defending champion and wasn’t backing down or handing over my title without a fight."
“The Glamazon” was asked if she thinks she was instrumental in initiating the change to the Divas division becoming more athletic than ever.
“I would love to take credit for something as wonderful as that, but I think it’s a credit to the company for valuing women who are not only beautiful, but also athletic and smart,” she responded. “Take Eve, for example. She has a background in Judo. Then there’s Michelle, who has a college degree and a great head on her shoulders. Young girls can really look up to and emulate the Divas. I think I can take some of the credit, though, for introducing more voluptuous girls to WWE. I was one of the first Divas to prove that you didn’t have to be model-thin to be successful, that you could have muscles and still be beautiful."
Finally, she noted that she would like to see former WWE Women’s Champion Lita make a comeback in 2011.
“I’d love to have a match with her, I never had the chance.”

With much happiness I'm posting an exclusive interview via Twitter with the WWE Diva Natalya Neidhart. Read it below:

DivasManiaHow much nice is work with Tyson and DH Smith?
NatalyaWorking w the Boys is a blast- especially when we have long car rides together. We always have a lot of fun singing and being goofballs!

DMHow much your family was important for your entry on wrestling?
NMy family was very important for me to get here- they were so suppotive but also stressed that I needed to be my best and to never settle for less .

DMWhat is the nicest country you've visited? And what do you still want to visit?
NNicest country I've ever visited- Australia! I love the wildlife there :) still want to visit Africa!!

We want to thank sweet Natalya for giving piece of their time to our questions and for always be awesome with our site. We wish all the best for her career in wrestling and life. Thank you much!

Serena Interview

Former WWE Diva Serena recently took part in an interview with serena-deeb.com where she answered a variety questions concerning her time with World Wrestling Entertainment including why she went through with the angle to shave her head, working with CM Punk & Luke Gallows, whether she thought she would never make it to the main roster, her lone televised match, and much more.
Regarding her future in professional wrestling, she commented:
“I still have many goals in wrestling that I haven’t fulfilled yet. Wrestling in Japan would be the biggest of those. The respect for wrestling over there is a precious thing and I would be honored to wrestle in front of those crowds. I also think it’s something that I want to prove to myself because not everyone can wrestle that style. The best times in my career so far were my times spent overseas, so I also would love to do more tours abroad. Mexico would be great because I am fluent in Spanish so I would be able to use that skill as well. I want to continue to focus on professional growth, as well as personal. I am still very young with a lot I haven’t seen in the world. We owe it to ourselves to become a better person with each day. The world hasn’t even seen how talented I am yet, but I promise that it will.”
When asked to comment on the story behind her head being shaved, she claimed to be unsure of the ‘whole story’, only noting that she was asked to do it and complied to fulfill her lifelong dream.
“I was approached with the idea of shaving my head and although it took some thinking (being a woman with long hair my whole life), when you are given an opportunity to live your lifelong dream, you will do almost anything. I have no idea if others were asked to do it or not.”

Maryse Interview

The Sun in the UK has a new interview up with WWE Diva Maryse. Here are some highlights:

PG Divas:
“We do wear revealing outfits but it’s not like wearing a g-string like in the past. I’d never wear that – I don’t think it would be very comfortable. Our outfits are sexy but not provocative to the point where people will say, ‘oh my God, my kids can’t watch this.’”
Her Personal Life:
“I’m not married but I’m dating. I have a great boyfriend, he’s not a wrestler.”
The WWE Schedule:
“What we do is physical and very hard on the body. I travel 300 days a year which is tough. Sometimes we’re up at 4am for a flight. The show stays brilliant because all the stars compete to keep it interesting.”
Her Role:
“I would compare what I do to being a rock star, a movie star and professional wrestling star combined together. I don’t take anything seriously. But Maryse’s ring character is like, ‘you want to look like me, be like me, have everything I have but you can’t.’ I’d like to get my character to point where people really, truly want to fricking kill me. Fans know my hair is my thing – I flip my hair every time I get in the ring – and believe it or not some spit in my hair. They can’t touch to you so they spit on you. They get really into it.”

Angelina Love Interview

SLAM! Wrestling has a new article online featuring quotes from TNA Knockout Women's Champion Angelina Love. Below are the highlights:

Her character:

"It's been different working as a babyface... I was very skeptical at first, because it's so easy to do that character as a heel. But the fans really accepted it, and they've been really happy about it, especially to have us going against Madison."

TNA on the road:

"I love when we travel for pay-per-views... It's always fun to meet the fans in all the different cities. And, of course, this is one of our biggest events of the year, so there are going to be a lot of festivities. Every pay-per-view is important, obviously, but this one is always so important for the company."

Stacy Keibler Talks Chuck Episode

The hit NBC series Chuck is trying something different in its fourth season, which currently airs on Monday nights at 8 PM ET on NBC. The show introduced a new recurring character dubbed Greta, although the character will be played by a different actress (or actor) in each episode. This week, in Episode 4.03: Chuck Versus the Cubic Z, former WWE Diva and actress Stacy Keibler will be playing Greta, and she will be joined by another WWE alum, Steve Austin, as well as Nicole Richie. The episode will air tonight, Monday, October 4 at 8 PM ET and Stacy Keibler recently held a conference call to discuss her role on the series and here's what she had to say:

Can you talk about how your version of Greta will be different than the other two who played the character?

I actually haven't seen the other two characters play the Greta, so I'm not sure how to really compare that. So I don't really have an answer for that one. But I'm not sure how physical the other Gretas are getting, and I definitely have a little bit of physicality, and I face off and fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin. And I do it all in my high heels. So I'm not sure if the other Gretas had that same experience or not.

New Aloisia Interview

Ring The Bell Radio
with Aloisia (a/k/a Isis)
Hosts Matt and J.D.
Full audio available at RingTheBellRadio.com

How she got into wrestling:
“I was doing a trade show down in Miami and I came into contact with these guys who basically owned and operated CCW (Costal Championship Wrestling) which is Jimmy Snuka’s school. So I started going to the school probably three times a week and that is how I got involved.”

How long it was before she was picked up by FCW (WWE’s Training Territory):
“About eight months into my training I had a tryout with the WWE and I had another tryout about 10 months after that. So about a year and half until I was signed. But I really missed out on all of the fundamentals. I started the training and then they (WWE) wanted to throw me on all of the shows right at the start. I never really learned how to bump right, ya know? They just wanted me on TV doing the standard “giant stuff.” But now I’m training again and going back to the basics and learning things the right way.”

Wrestlers she looked up to and still looks up to:
“I don’t look up to anybody, I look down on them! Haha. No, my all time favorites are Chris Jericho and The Undertaker."

Which women she would love to wrestle:
“From the time I saw her I wanted to wrestle Awesome Kong. I think a match between her and I would be fantastic!”

After all that happened, would she ever want to work for WWE:
“Honestly it all depends. Not just for WWE but for any promotion. It depends on what I’m working on at the time, it depends what they would be offering and really depend on where I’m going with my career. If they call back and I don’t have any other contracts at the time, then sure I’d go work for WWE. There’s no animosity toward them at all. They run a business and at the time, I didn’t fit into their business plan.

SoCal Val Gives An Update On Her Position In TNA

Slam! Wrestling has a new article online featuring quotes from SoCal Val. Below are the highlights:
"All the time when I go to signings, people say ‘are you still with TNA?' and I have to laugh because the funniest part of it is I feel like I am twice as busy as I was before."

"There's so much on the Internet that I've been doing, I'm ring-announcing now for Xplosion, which is more of a popular show in the UK, I do a lot of commercials for the TNA site which is talking about our live event house shows... I have all these things up in the air."

"I don't want to say there isn't longevity in it, but there kind of is not. With the release of Sonjay Dutt, people were even surprised that I was still kept around. If the wrestler you manage is let go, what happens to you?... "Well, the good thing is I was able to parlay that into doing so many other things. I can be a ‘Jane of all trades' -- do anything they really need."

"I've never been interested in becoming a wrestler, per se... but other than that, it's quite another thing to be an interviewer or host or something like that. It sounds so easy and it looks so easy, but there are so many aspects to that that are just really about experience, so I'm really happy to get that."

Diva Denies Escort Rumors

Ousted NXT Rookie Diva Aloisia, who announced the news of her release from WWE last night during an interview online, also disputed online rumors that she previously worked as an escort.
“Look, I’ve never in my life worked for an escort service, but it’s pointless to go on and on and on addressing all these ridiculous charges,” she said. “Every time I single talk about it, the story seems to get bigger and bigger and then people criticize me for trying to attract attention. So I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t.”

Natalya Talks About Bret's WWE Return

Natalya talked about Bret and Shawn in the ring together in January 2010:
"You could feel the weight being lifted off of them after that night. To have that kind of history, over a decade of holding onto that, it was a great release for both off them. Before Bret had come to WWE, Shawn Michaels had helped mentor a lot of the younger talent, HHH as well, so we saw a completely different side of these guys than Bret had remembered during the time of the Montreal Screwjob".

John Cena Talks On Divas Unifying Titles

WWE wrestler John Cena appeared on yesterday's edition of the "Busted Open" Sirius/XM satellite radio show to promote "Legendary" and cover WWE subjects currently in the news, including Chris Jericho's future, possibly unifying titles, and Daniel Bryan's return.

Cena said he believes the Raw and Smackdown women's divisions will benefit from unifying the Divas Title and Women's Title to get the Divas more exposure when TV time is limited. He said he believes it would hurt mid-card wrestlers to unify titles like the U.S. Title and Intercontinental Title.
"When it comes down to championships, there are so many great singles Superstars, to unify titles like that or to make championships singular or on a unified plane, I think you're doing a detriment to the Superstars," he said. "You might be holding them back."

Aloisia Says Other Divas Have Had Racy Photos

Ousted NXT Rookie Diva Aloisia told Fanhouse.com that she’s still unsure why she was booted from the program.

“Maybe they have bigger and better plans for me than NXT. It’s anyone’s guess at this point.”

The 6-foot-9 giant also responded to online reports that she was pulled from show because she posed for racy photos when she was 18 years old.

“They may have, they may have not,” she said. “I really have no say. I do know it’s a PG era for the WWE. I also know that every other diva has had some photos — racy photos or even pornography photos — that are out there of them. I really can’t say.”

Word is that there was much concern amongst WWE officials in regards to what else might be out there beyond her racy photos and thus felt she was too much of a risk to keep on NXT since they don’t want any controversy.
